Kathy Acker: Benson interview 1984; Gothenburg KA Society, Sweden, 1997.

Benson interview for the English TV, 1984
40 minutes or so; from the Lower East Side

These news are not for real
We have nothing more to feel
Death again has put us in trances
But You will always be in my dances
      I cannot take much more
What on earth are we here for?
You were a prostitute, some kind of whore
Kathy, You have made your final score

(Gothenburg Kathy Acker Society; posted 2 weeks after her death; from Chris Kraus' book)

Kathy Acker, Chris Kraus (it's life and life only)

Chris Kraus‘s book on Kathy Acker is an absurdly, unbelievably shining light. Black light also, dark light: absurdly, unbelievably shining.
[Kathy Acker was the last of the pòetes maudits and my idol: from nothingness to total fame and disillusionment and cancer, by which she was killed in 1997, at 50. The book written by Chris Kraus, great person and great intellectual, goes over with pietas/compassion-respect joy sorrow her notebooks, her living, her works. A book to meditate and to weep over, I think. A book enormously BEAUTIFUL - as far as beauty matters-]
